- This weekend the 40th annual Tucson Folk Festival will feature more than 150 performances across six stages. Mark talks with singer and songwriter John Coinman, one of the Festival’s most popular returning artists, about how music brings together Tucsonans of all stripes. Also, John debuts a new song called "Orphan Train", co-written with Cathy Rivers.

The Tucson non-profit Literacy Connects sponsors a group of performers and musicians called “Stories That Soar!”. They help young writers realize the power and potential of bringing their stories to life, for the stage, video, and radio. This month's "Stories That Soar!" gives three young friends a chance to try to crack each other up, in a story called “Famous Sayings with a First Grade Twist."
